Jau Sweed wrote The Yummy Alphabet with a bigger goal than ABCs, helping kids build real food knowledge and feel excited about what’s on their plate.

  • Every page turns a fruit or vegetable into a character kids can name and recognize, building real food literacy, one letter at a time.

  • A friendly, smiling face makes even an unfamiliar vegetable feel a little less intimidating, a gentle nudge toward tasting something new.

  • Written with food-scarce communities in mind, the book hopes to grow food knowledge and curiosity wherever fresh produce can be hard to come by.
